Meet Beryl

Meet Beryl!
Hi, my name is Beryl (because I was found the day of the scary storm) and I am three years old. My foster mom says I’m one of the best dogs she’s ever met and her friends agree.

I’m very friendly with everyone I meet and I’m potty trained. I’m also very good at going to bed in my kennel at night.

Foster mom gives me treats and puts me to bed and I usually sleep through the night…unless I have to go potty urgently - then I’ll let out a little bark to let you know I need to go.

I will only get on the couch or the bed if you tell me it’s OK.

I’m currently living with 3 cats.

One doesn’t like me very much so I try to avoid him but if he hisses and swipes at me, I do start barking at him and will chase him out to his catio. I pretty much ignore the other 2 cats because they ignore me but if they run away, I like to chase them a little too - same as the squirrels I see on my walks, but foster mom never lets me loose so I can’t catch them. I think I’d be OK with most cats.

Foster mom says I’m not aggressive with them and will only chase them if run away (I probably think they wanna play).

I’m not sure what my breed is - I might have a little dachshund in me since I have a long nose & short legs but I also have longer hair and a fluffy tail. I have the cutest ears that flop open when I look up at you so it looks like I’m flying. I weigh about 14 pounds and stand about 11 inches tall at my shoulder so I’m the perfect size for a lap dog and travel companion.

Beryl is located in Houston, TX and can be transported to most states for a fee.
