I absolutely love to play with other dogs. They tell me that I look like a deer, leaping about in the play yard as I chase after my friends. I really like mixing it up and getting down and dirty and wrestling. Seriously, is playtime even any fun if you don't get dirty? I get along with all dogs, whether they're big or small. Playing is my favorite thing but I'm learning to be respectful of other dogs who may not want to play as much as I do. But, again, I ask you - is there any such thing as too much playing?
Oh and don't even get me started on the subject of tennis balls. Tennis balls are like the most amazing, wonderful thing ever. Besides people and snuggles, that is. I could entertain myself for hours with a tennis ball or a chew toy and, if my person wanted to play fetch? That would be like icing on the cake!
My friends at the shelter call me a "smart cookie" and they say that that is a good thing. I know how to sit and I know how to walk well on a leash. I get really excited so I walk best on a prong collar and with some direction to remind me that pulling my person down the street isn't the best idea. I recently learned the "place" command (where I stay on my bed while everything is happening so I'm not underfoot) and I'm getting good at staying on place even with distractions! I picked that up really quickly so I know that I'm going to be fun to train!
Guess what? I even love agility. Can you imagine all the fun we could have doing agility classes? I bet I'd be a champion. I can do 15" jumps without blinking and I love doing ramps and tunnels. Any new challenge is fun for me so I'm looking forward to getting into some fun with you! We'll take first prize. It'll be awesome.
The bottom line is - I'm looking for a forever family. I'm looking for a couch to snuggle on, a yard to play in, and maybe even a doggie friend to pal around with. I get a little excited right out of the kennel but I'm really an amazing pup. Take me out, spend some time with me, and fall in love. Trust me, you won't be able to resist!
