Cassi, kidsafe trail pony- Back on the market - (Leesville, SC 29070 for sale in Greenville, South Carolina

$750

Very beautiful mare, stands at around 14.1-14.2hh. Dark chestnut with a dark mane and tail. Dead broke, used as a lesson pony for years. Current on coggins and shots. Was a rescue, and is now in perfect health. Had her teeth done last year and didn't need them done when the vet was here recently. Very easy keeper, is on handful of grain and three flakes of coastal hay a day. She w/t/c/jumps goes english or western, neckreins, does barrels, does lead line, does trails, is very brave jumping out in the field. Has a VERY soft mouth, and doesn't like to be pulled or tugged on roughly. I've NEVER used spurs on her, and would prefer you do the same. She loves to go on the trails, or walk around the pasture. IS NOT A SHOW PONY OR LESSON HORSE, however might be a good games pony, as she loves to run. Moves right off when you ask her too, but is still the same horse when you pull her back to a walk. She's very sweet and friendly, could possibly make a good therapy horse. Is not nippy or a biter. She would probably be best for a family who will love on her, not thirty different people who just want to learn to ride.
She's a very friendly mare, good with children, has been pastured with goats, donkeys, and other horses but does better alone WHEN feeding because she's a rescue who was used to fighting for her food if she even got any. Is usually the low horse in the pecking order, but would be a great first horse/only horse. Has enough speed for barrels and neckreins beautifully. She does test you the first few times you ride her, but if you stick her nose behind another horse on trails, she'll follow like an elephant. She does like a good run, but she is very safe, no bucking, etc. She "Whoas" very well, but not a complete sliding stop or anything, so no worries there. Touch her reins lightly and she'll easy up. I let kids ride her in a rope halter, and I ride her in a rope halter most of the time. However, she's very responsive in a full cheek snaffle.. Trails alone or with company.
Bathes, Clips, Stands for a farrier, is perfect for the vet, trailers like a dream, alone or with company, step up or ramp. TRAFFIC SAFE. You can ride this horse by the side of the road and she doesn't care. She is any child's (AND PARENT'S!!!) dream pleasure horse.
Has been to hitchcock woods in aiken with a group of horses she didn't know, led, followed, brought up the rear, w/t/c, and jumped some of the 2 footers out there. Unsure of her age, her coggins say 16y/o but it's just a guess by her teeth. (The vet I took her too, estimated 14-16 years old, and the tech put down 1995) She's in very good condition. Has taught many people how to ride, and how to jump. Rides in a simple full cheek snaffle or any other snaffle. I also ride her in a rope bridle. She's a very pretty horse, very sane, not spooky in the least bit. If you don't know how to ride this horse is for you. Kids go under her, and jump on her from the ground, hug on her neck, and walk right up to her in the pasture
I have multiple pictures, and more information if you'd like, but please ask specific questions so I know what you want. I will also throw in all her tack for an extra $150. (english saddle(or child's western saddle), winter blanket, pad, girth, bridle, reins, bit, grazing muzzle[for trails if you put young kids on her, it's nice for her to not have that option to "eat" if there's grass.] halter and lead.)

If you emailed/called me about this mare before, I am very sorry, but she was pulled off the market and it didn't work out. However, she will be on the market as long as it takes for me to find her the perfect home.
EDIT****** she is a mixed breed, but we're guessing quarter horse cross.
